  My uncle was found DEAD this morning

  my jw dad called me this morning and told me that he found my jw uncle dead, face-down on the floor in his home.

  he's taking it hard.

  i was shocked to hear him say that he wanted me to be with the family.

  A bit of their medecine - The 2 Witness Rule

  if we apply the wts rule of -2 eye witnesses needed- then that means .

  that on friday, september the 27th, the wts's gb will be disfellowshiped.

  i'm positive that many survivors of child abuse by jw's will be present.

  that on Friday, September the 27th, the WTS's GB will be disfellowshiped.

  I'm positive that many survivors of child abuse by JW's will be present.

  This means that they better have a very good explanation for the public and the world wide media as to why there are SOO many JW children abused survivors.

  It would be nice to have offices like Child Protective Services there or child protective advocates.

  To make a better point the victims should make Giant posters with the picture of the age (Ex. 5 years old) when they were abused. Big poster/pictures of the Pedophiles should also be made. Info should be on their if they are currently active JW, prison, or just DF.

  I will be there with a picture of my little sister at age 3 & her abuser.

  We also should have the silent lambs anti child abuse decals available for the public.

  New elders Schools september

  we in the uk are holding 2 day seminars in september and october for all elders.. i presume that this is the case worldwide.

  these are supposed to be a supplementry course to last years kms.. however our do eluded to "new information on how elders handle sensitive matters".

  i will be interested to see if there are any changes to procedures, however my knowledge leads to conclude that any changes will be for the benefit of the corporation not any victims.. cas.

  Yeah,

  My brother, who is an elder here in the state, went to it already Jan or feb of this year.

  He mentioned that they spoke on how to address questions on the "public children abuse". They mentioned the congregation of Othello. My brother lives about 1 hour north of Othello & he thought that was why it had been added to the agenda.

  But another elder from my congregation when I spoke to him & told him the info that my brother told me he didn't deny that it was addressed even in their elder meeting.

  My brother attends a spanish congregation & I attended an english congregation & according to both elders, my brother & Local elder it seems like the WTS followed the same agenda.

  Why aren't they following their own protocol? Or did the 3 elders also serve as the "two witnesses"? Wouldn't that be a conflict of interests?

  now that you're out & free of the wts, (borg) what are your future plans and/ or dreams?

  where do you see yourself 10, 20, 30, 40, 50 years from now?

  how many are happy with their carreers/jobs?

  If you are in the US do a web search for FAFSA (Federal Application for Student Aid). You can fill it out on line.

  You'll your taxes information. If you make under $49,000 per year U.S. you'll get some kind of finanancial aid. Pell Grants & State grants is free money that you don't have to pay. Most colleges have a priority deadline for these (First come first serve) that is in Early February. Next Feb would be for school year 2003/2004.

  It's not too late to apply for this fall qtr go for it. Go speak to the financial aid office at your local community college.

  Start out (saves lots of money) @ a community 2 year college then transfer out to a 4 year university.

  If you have kids, don't burn yourself out take it slow.

  I have lots of tips. Feel free to e-mail me.

  I figured I had the choice to be poor for the rest of my life or for 6 years while I finished my masters degree.

  There are also lots of classes that you can take online. I prefer being in a classroom. I'll actually have Speech/Language Clients this fall.

  well, i weighed myself and i gained the famous college 15 & some.. i thought of joining weight watchers but i don't like their idea of meeting once a week.

  (i'm so tired of meetings!

  ) they have an online weight loss program.

  they have a system called 123 success.

  it seems pretty simple.. it cost $99 to join for 10 weeks including the joining fee.. i'll be glad to share all of the information on how to count points & all.. you start off with a weight loss of 10% of your current weight.

  I received a few inquiries on my last post regarding a weight watchers thread.

  Well, I joined weight watchers. They have a system called 123 success. It seems pretty simple.

  It cost $99 to join for 10 weeks including the joining fee.

  I'll be glad to share all of the information on how to count points & all.

  You start off with a weight loss of 10% of your current weight. You can also eat everything - nothing is prohibited.

  I also joined the YMCA & I'm going later today with my daughter.

  As you know my vision aka goal is to buy a pair of shrink to fit 501's just like the ones I wore in High School (w-28 L33 or 36 can't remember length very well) I'll find out when I go try some. My ultimate goal is by August of 2003. I figure give myself some time loose all the weight since it took about 4 years to gain it. If Ioose it before (6mos) then I'll be twice as happy.

  How are you guys doing with Lifet time healthy eating changes & exserices?
